If you’re studying your Certificate III or IV in Disability or something similar, we offer placements that give you real-world experience and a genuine feel for the work: Work side-by-side with our passionate and experienced team Support Clients in everyday activities and programs, learning by doing Experience your new day-to-day, the impact, the challenges, and find out what matters to you. You won’t just observe. You’ll be part of a team that values real experiences, learning together, and being ready for what comes next. FAQs Who can apply for a Work Placement? Students studying a Certificate III or IV in Disability, or a similar course. Is a Work Placement paid? No, placements aren’t paid, but you will get hands-on experience, build real skills, and get a genuine feel for what a career in disability support is like. How long do placements last? Placement length can vary depending on your course. We’ll work with your training provider to determine the hours required, ensuring it suits both your learning needs and Livit’s programs. What kind of work will I do? There are lots of possibilities and no two days are the same. You might: Support clients with everyday activities Join group programs and social outings Assist with office or admin tasks, depending on your placement Do I need a background check? Yes. You’ll need a NDIS Worker Check and/or Working with Children Check, depending on your placement. What if I have questions or concerns while on placement? You’ll have a supervisor to guide you, and our People & Culture team is here to help. You can also speak with your trainer or course coordinator if you need extra support. How do I apply?
