POSITION SUMMARY This role provides mental health therapy and substance use counseling for clients in the Juneau County Human Services Outpatient Clinic. Core responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing diagnoses and treatment plans, offering individual, family, and group therapy, providing crisis intervention, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The position also supports intake processes, participates in CCS/CST/CSP programming, works with Intoxicated Driver Program referrals, and ensures thorough documentation, billing, and compliance with state and federal standards. The therapist is expected to model professionalism, follow all agency and regulatory requirements, and maintain positive working relationships. Strong clinical skills are essential, including assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, active listening, and knowledge of community resources. Success in this role also requires solid organizational abilities, accurate recordkeeping, sound judgment, familiarity with Wisconsin behavioral health regulations, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in Social Work , Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy and is in process of completing 3 , 000 hours of supervised clinical practice under the supervision of a State qualified and approved supervisor . Must successfully pass caregiver and criminal background check. May be required to obtain IDP training . PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferred additional license of SAC-IT/SAC/CSAC in the State of Wisconsin . Applicants without SAC/CSAC or ability to provide & bill for substance abuse treatment services must obtain such license/ability within 7 years of hire date.
