Join SAPRO for an International Contract Opportunity SAPRO is seeking an experienced Senior In-Charge External Auditor for an exciting international contract with one of our global clients. This opportunity has two non-negotiable requirements: <ul> <li>You must hold a valid EU passport, as the successful candidate will be required to travel onsite to Germany and Switzerland for several weeks during the engagement.</li> <li>You must have prior external audit experience within the Cannabis industry.</li> </ul> This is a unique opportunity to work on complex IFRS Group Audit engagements while collaborating with international audit teams across Europe. <ul> <li>Contract Duration: November 2026 to April 2027</li> <li>Sector Exposure: Cannabis audit experience non-negotiable</li> <li>Software required: CaseWare</li> <li>Travel: Onsite travel to Germany and Switzerland for several weeks during the engagement.</li> <li>Location: Remote, with international travel as required.</li> <li>Language: German language skills are advantageous but not essential.</li> </ul> Senior In-Charge – Minimum Requirements <ul> <li>ITC / Board 1 Pass (non-negotiable)</li> <li>Fully qualified CA(SA), CA(Z), ACA, ACCA or CPA&nbsp;</li> <li>Minimum 5+ years' external audit experience</li> <li>Minimum 2+ years leading audit teams and managing engagements end-to-end</li> <li>Demonstrated external audit experience within the Cannabis industry (non-negotiable)</li> <li>Strong Group Audit experience&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong IFRS knowledge&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience planning audit budgets, resources and managing engagement timelines</li> <li>Proven track record reviewing workpapers and delivering high-quality audit files</li> <li>Valid EU Passport (non-negotiable), with the ability to travel to Germany and Switzerland for several weeks during the engagement</li> </ul> What you will do:&nbsp; Provide a broad range of fully integrated audit services for our global clients.&nbsp; <ul> <li>Provides timely, high-quality deliverables covering complex sections while overseeing fieldwork, coordinating deliverables from multiple team members.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrates a depth of knowledge of systems, methodology and can educate and redirect team members. &nbsp;</li> <li>Leads the team through the engagement and prepares financial statements, related disclosures, and reportable conditions letters, focusing on quality and accuracy. &nbsp;</li> <li>Actively monitors productivity, budgets and ensures adherence to work plan schedule.  &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</li> </ul> Behavioural requirements:&nbsp;&nbsp; <ul> <li>Proactive communicator.&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to problem-solve and address issues in a timely manner.&nbsp;</li> <li>High learning agility.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.</li> <li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced international environment.</li> </ul> If you meet the requirements and are ready to take on a rewarding international audit assignment, we would love to hear from you. <ul> <li>Note: An EU Passport is a mandatory requirement for this opportunity due to international travel requirements.</li> <li>Candidates must be available for the full contract period from November 2026 to April 2027.</li> <li>Successful applicants are expected to have access to reliable high-speed internet when working remotely.
