The abovementioned activities shall be conducted in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, No. 85 of 1993 and all relevant NCP policies and procedures. This position profile acts as a guide to the role only, and additional work outcomes may be required to be performed by the incumbent. Key performance area Sand blast and paint all steel pumps, pipes, tanks, fibreglass tanks, Cl2 drums cylinders and all structures in the plant Cleaning and maintain sandblast area and paint store . Ad hoc: Carry out all lawful & reasonable instruction given to the incumbent Related SHERQ responsibilities Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Knowledge of ISO 14001, 18001, 9001 SHERQ Training course Safety Work Permit training Job card training Problem solving and decision making Competent Person Foundation Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point) Digilex. Attention to detail Good planning and organizing skills Be able to do basic problem solving and decision making and analysis Ability to work under pressure Good judgement Qualifications Matric/Grade 12 Experience : Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience as a Sandblaster. Reporting structure: This position reports to the Services Supervisor. Personal Circumstances: Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies’ medical centre.
