Computer Lab Technician

The Computer Laboratory Technician will assist with the planning, maintenance, operations and troubleshooting for all computer laboratories, with primary responsibility for their efficient and effective management. Provide technical support for computer labs. Assist faculty and students with computer-related problems. Ensure proper care of equipment and observance of lab rules and procedures. Assist with installation, maintenance and shutdown of systems. Maintain software sets, hardware and the overall lab environment. Provide training and information to users. Perform any other related duties as required. A minimum of a Diploma in Computer Studies. At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar job. Excellent time management, oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of relevant applications, including expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Thorough understanding of computer hardware and software applications. Ability to multitask, work independently and collaborate as a team member. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
