Job description:
This person will be part of the Commercial IT organization working on a large cross-functional program that involves business process automation and requires system and data integration. This person will define workflow and integration requirements for an end-to-end solution, and will work closely with business partners, IT project managers, technical leads, and architects.

The person will perform requirements gathering activities as well as requirements documentation by working with multiple responsible parties (i.e. Commercial, Compliance, business leads, architects and developers, project managers, etc.). They will interact with the development teams to address questions and ensure requirements are being met. The BA will assist in requirements design and testing for development sprints, and also oversee end-to-end UAT testing activities.

Responsibilities:

Lead requirement discussions to document, analyze and translate functional and non-functional business requirements into project specifications, business process diagrams and workflows.
Develop Requirements for projects to ensure that all approved requirements are delivered and tracked back to a business objective.
Utilize data tables, create logical source-to-target mappings, illustrate processes, data and Information flows and diagrams.
Deliver technical writing artifacts per Biogen SDLC procedure
Apply best practices from IT Project Management methodologies- Agile, Waterfall or hybrid
Work with the application development team(s) to help translate requirements into technical specifications
Provide strong support during the build process; assisting IT Partner/Stakeholder Success Liaison in ensuring the solutions are built and will meet/exceed the needs of the business
Facilitate the UAT process, working with end users to define test scenarios, plans and test scripts. Ensure the business fully understands the capabilities and tests the complete solution and data supporting it. Assist users during UAT, and work with users and development teams on issues identification and resolution
The ideal candidate must also demonstrate strong investigative, problem solving and analytical skills, and be able to clearly communicate ideas to the business and other team members. The candidate must possess a focus on quality with attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Education:

BS/MS Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems,

Additional Information

Experience:

Experienced Business Analyst (Non Negotiable)
Light Project Management experience (Non Negotiable)
Agile/Scrum DevOps Delivery Methodology Experience (Non Negotiable)
Experience working with global teams (business & IT)
5-7 years IT Business Analysis experience; Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry preferred but not required
Experience working with business systems (i.e. Veeva Network, Salesforce, Master Data Management (MDM), OneTrust, reporting tools, etc.)
Must be self-motivated, team player, and well organized
Demonstrated successes in working with cross-functional resource teams
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and/or tasks
Ability to work independently
Must be able to effectively communicate technical components of an initiative in both technical and business terms
Proven oral and written communication skills to a variety of audiences
Strong investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills
