Position Description

A Low Boy Truck Driver primary role is to safely and efficiently transport heavy equipment to and from job sites and projects as required by the company. Loading and securing the equipment, as well as other tasks deemed necessary are also required.

• Communication Skills: good verbal communication, ability to work with others
• Equipment Knowledge: should be familiar/have experience with vehicles and various machinery, understanding of maintenance
• Familiarity with Industry Standards: comprehend and stay updated with DOT regualtions, reports
• Maintain a safe vehicle and equipment
• Keep a DVR log updated per DOT standards
• Work with and load a variety of equipment, understand basic maintenance of heavy machinery
• Operate equipment efficiently and carefully
• Calculate and report weight of equipmenyt
• Drive truck equipped with many different trailer attachments
• Perform other related tasks as necessary

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Class A Driver's License required
• Experience and familiarity with road construction industry
