OVERVIEW

Full-time/Permanent Employee

Location: Hollywood, MD and Day Shift: 6am-4pm Mon-Thur and 6am-3pm Friday

We are seeking a full-time TIG Welder to join our team. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a government clearance and must have good knowledge and understanding of welding applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform different weld methods based on project requirements

Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.

Creating fixturing for production welding environments

Possession of current AWS D17.1 certification (aluminum, carbon steel, or stainless steel)

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance Education and Years of Experience: High School Diploma/GED and 1+ Year of experience as a commercial/ aerospace welder. Current and valid certification(s) a plus.

AutoCAD for schematics and drawings

OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB development

Good knowledge & understanding of heat applications, heat absorbents during welding operations to prevent warpages of parts.

General knowledge of shop practices including layout, drilling, sawing, grinding, etc.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a daily basis.

Must wear approved PPE (personal protective equipment).

Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as required
