Quality Engineer
At Aeon, we develop advanced missile systems, built for ground and air platforms. We take pride in our dynamic team that allows us to iterate, build and test quickly. If you are looking to solve hard problems with a passionate team in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, Aeon is the place for you. We are a vertically integrated defense manufacturer developing and producing advanced strike systems and critical subsystems at industrial scale for major defense programs. From its 140,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, Aeon will bring weapon design and production under one roof, including propulsion, fuzing, autonomy and other critical subsystems. Led by former special operators, senior government officials and experienced aerospace and defense engineers, Aeon is a trusted partner to U.S. government customers and industry. We are looking for a Quality Engineer to help build a world-class manufacturing organization as we transition from new product introduction (NPI) and development into full-rate production of complex guided-munition subassemblies and final assemblies. Reporting to the Vice President of Manufacturing, you will play a key role in establishing and strengthening the quality systems required to meet ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. Our goal is to first build validated working practices and then formalize them into procedure. As a true builder, you will work closely with supply chain, manufacturing, and product engineering teams to move products from concept through production readiness while developing robust processes for corrective action, measurement system validation, inspection, calibration management, and continuous improvement in a rapidly growing and evolving environment. This is a full-time, in-person role located in Austin, TX with plans to move to Cedar Park, TX early 2027.
