The Role We're looking for a VP of Finance to own our financial function end to end. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the founders. You'll be equal parts strategic partner and operator — building the models and infrastructure that guide the business while also rolling up your sleeves to close the books, run analyses, and answer hard questions with data. This is a startup, not a corporation. You'll build the finance function rather than inherit one, wear multiple hats, and thrive on ambiguity. What You'll Do <ul> <li>Own financial strategy and planning — build and maintain the financial model, drive budgeting and forecasting, and give the founders a clear line of sight into unit economics, and growth.</li> <li>Run the finance operation — accounting, month-end close, cash management, AP/AR, payroll, and audit readiness. You set up the systems and, early on, often run them yourself.</li> <li>Be the numbers partner to the founders — turn ambiguous questions into rigorous analysis, pressure-test decisions, and help set priorities.</li> <li>Lead fundraising and investor relations — support capital raises, manage the data room, and own board and investor reporting.</li> <li>Own compliance, tax, and risk — keep us clean and audit-ready as a company operating in the financial services space.</li> <li>Build for scale — stand up the tools, controls, and (eventually) the team that let finance keep pace with the business.</li> </ul> What We're Looking For <ul> <li>Proven experience as a finance leader (VP Finance, or senior finance operator), ideally with startup or high-growth company experience.</li> <li>Genuinely hands-on — comfortable owning both the strategy and the spreadsheet. No task is beneath you.</li> <li>Strong command of modern finance and business tooling — you're fluent in today's SaaS finance stack (e.g., ERP/accounting, FP&amp;A, billing, BI) and comfortable working closely with a technical team and their systems.</li> <li>AI-forward — you actively use AI tools to work faster and smarter, and you look for ways to automate and augment the finance function rather than throw headcount at it.</li> <li>Excellent judgment, low ego, and high output.
