Job Description

As a VP of Engineering, you will be responsible for:

Lead and grow the engineering team by managing, coaching, hiring, retaining, and realizing the values of our team
Build a high-performance engineering team by fostering a culture of open communication & healthy debates, collaboration, accountability and result oriented.
Take full ownership of the product from an engineering perspective by authoring a technical vision that lines up with the evolving business needs
Collaborate with Head of Product to set the vision, strategic roadmap, and build great products that solve important and real problems
Define methods and metrics for measuring successes and failures for engineering team

Qualifications

A Successful Candidate Will Have

At least 8 years in Engineering with 4 years in a technology leadership role, ideally with history of success in leading, managing, and scaling up high performance team from <10 engineers to 40+ engineers
Several years of hands-on software design and development experience in a customer-serving platform context, and mobile apps
Deep interest / passion in improving property industry through technology
Solid foundation in modern platform architecture, software design, data structures and algorithms, with strong problem solving skills
Preferably cloud native, with excellent understanding in at least 1 cloud platform, more than 1 platform is more desirable
Experience in go-lang and hybrid mobile development is a big plus
Active in the tech community and is up-to-date with latest trends and best practices, with the ability to advocate for and achieve continuous change and evolution.
