As a Data Engineer specializing in Databricks, you will play a critical role in architecting and maintaining enterprise data platforms that support advanced analytics, reporting, artificial intelligence, and business intelligence initiatives. You will work across cloud environments, integrating diverse data sources and creating reliable data pipelines that deliver trusted, high-quality information to stakeholders.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, modern data architectures, and large-scale data engineering projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to solve business challenges through data innovation.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts using Databricks and cloud-native technologies.
Build and optimize Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) and Extract, Load, and Transform (ELT) processes to ensure high-quality, reliable, and accessible data.
Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring scalability, compliance, security, and adherence to data governance standards.
Develop backend data services and application programming interfaces (APIs) to support data-driven applications and analytics solutions.
Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Developers, and Analytics teams to deliver business-focused data solutions.
Support Agile delivery practices, continuous integration, code reviews, and operational excellence across the data platform lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience

Hands-on experience designing and developing data engineering solutions using Databricks, Apache Spark, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Python.
Proven experience building and supporting Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) and Extract, Load, and Transform (ELT) pipelines in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, data marts, data virtualization, and modern data architecture principles.
Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, cloud storage platforms, and large-scale distributed data processing frameworks.
Understanding of data governance, security, access controls, data quality management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Familiarity with Agile development practices, application programming interfaces (APIs), version control, continuous integration, and collaborative software engineering methodologies.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience with Microsoft Fabric and lakehouse architecture.
Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Apache Hadoop, or other big data technologies.
Experience developing real-time and streaming data solutions.
Exposure to web data extraction and automation technologies.
Understanding of data modelling, analytics platforms, and business intelligence solutions.
Relevant cloud or Databricks certifications.
