Journeyman Machinist - Special Products - 2nd Shift

<p><strong>Primary Responsibility:</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>Manufacture and repair special products - build prototypes </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Efficiently operate all standard machine tools</li> <li>Make mathematical calculations required for setting up and machining any part</li> <li>Read drawings, use precision measuring instruments and hand tools</li> <li>Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications</li> <li>Assemble and disassemble precision parts and equipment</li> <li>Welding ( tig, mig, stick and gas )</li> <li>Metal fabrication</li> <li>Reverse engineering</li> <li>Design and build tooling and fixtures</li> <li>Manufacture dies, machine tools, cutting tools, and other tools</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p> <h1> </h1> <h4>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</h4> <ul> <li>Good mechanical skills</li> <li>Good shop math skills</li> <li>Basic understanding of hydraulics, electricity, pneumatics, and a familiarization with computer technology.</li> <li>Thorough knowledge of metallurgy and heat treating</li> <li>Work with minimum supervision</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h4>Education/Experience</h4> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li> <li>Four years journeyman level experience.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Physical requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Able to lift 35 lbs. on occasion</li> <li>Stand for extended periods - 2 hour periods</li> <li>Some overtime required</li> </ul> <p><strong>#LI-DNI</strong> </p> <p><strong>#IND</strong></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Maxcess is an equal employment opportunity employer.
