Job Title: Locum Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist Banding: Band 6/7 Location: Hampshire Start Date: ASAP (From 9th March) Rate: £24.00–£32.00 per hour Working Hours: Full Time or Part Time <hr data-start="318" data-end="321"> <h2 data-start="323" data-end="340">Job Overview</h2> We are currently seeking an experienced Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist to join a community service in Hampshire on a locum basis from 9th March. This role offers flexibility, with a significant proportion of appointments delivered via telehealth. Remote working is available; however, the successful candidate will be required to attend either Winchester or BNHH for induction to enable secure remote system access. A laptop and phone will be provided. This opportunity is ideally suited to a Band 6 clinician, although experienced Band 7 therapists will also be considered. The contract is expected to run until 30th June, with the service anticipated to TUPE to another provider thereafter. <hr data-start="1079" data-end="1082"> <h2 data-start="1084" data-end="1109">Key Responsibilities</h2> In this role, you will: <ul data-start="1138" data-end="1645"> <li data-start="1138" data-end="1207"> Manage a caseload of adult patients within the community setting. </li> <li data-start="1208" data-end="1292"> Assess, diagnose and treat adults with speech, language and communication needs. </li> <li data-start="1293" data-end="1381"> Independently assess and manage patients with dysphagia (essential requirement). </li> <li data-start="1382" data-end="1464"> Deliver therapy via a combination of face-to-face and telehealth appointments. </li> <li data-start="1465" data-end="1555"> Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional standards. </li> <li data-start="1556" data-end="1645"> Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient-centred care. </li> </ul> <hr data-start="1647" data-end="1650"> <h2 data-start="1652" data-end="1686">Qualifications and Experience</h2> To be considered for this role, you must have: <ul data-start="1738" data-end="2127"> <li data-start="1738" data-end="1809"> A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent). </li> <li data-start="1810" data-end="1853"> HCPC registration and RCSLT membership. </li> <li data-start="1854" data-end="1919"> Proven experience working with adults in a community setting. </li> <li data-start="1920" data-end="1986"> Competency in dysphagia assessment and management (essential). </li> <li data-start="1987" data-end="2061"> Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to work autonomously. </li> <li data-start="2062" data-end="2127"> Experience in communication disorders management (desirable). </li> </ul> <hr data-start="2129" data-end="2132"> <h2 data-start="2134" data-end="2156">Why Choose Pulse?</h2> From the moment you register with Pulse, our focus is entirely on you.
