Job Description

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Portier to join our hotel team in Berlin, Germany. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will deliver exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. This role is essential to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every guest feels valued from the moment they arrive at our property.

Greet and welcome guests with a warm, professional demeanor as they arrive and depart the hotel
Assist guests with luggage handling and provide support with their immediate needs upon arrival
Provide comprehensive information about Berlin attractions, restaurants, entertainment venues, and local services
Coordinate guest requests and special arrangements with front desk and other hotel departments
Manage the entrance area to ensure smooth guest flow and maintain a clean, organized appearance
Respond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and courtesy
Maintain awareness of hotel security protocols and assist in ensuring guest and property safety
Arrange transportation services, including taxis, ride-sharing, and airport transfers as requested
Customize recommendations based on guest preferences and interests to enhance their stay
Maintain professional appearance and conduct in accordance with hotel standards at all times

Qualifications

Proven customer service experience in a hospitality environment, preferably in a hotel or similar setting
Fluency in German and English; additional language skills are highly desirable
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse guests
Strong knowledge of Berlin's attractions, landmarks, restaurants, and local services
Physical capability to assist with luggage and perform standing duties throughout a shift
Professional appearance and demeanor with a commitment to upholding hotel standards
Ability to multitask and prioritize guest requests in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset
Familiarity with hotel operations and guest management systems is preferred
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
