Job Description

Our Client seeks a Sr. DBA who will support enterprise infrastructure project queues and improve the availability of our service offerings. The Senior Database Administrator would work on the Infrastructure project queue; maintain and build systems to produce external websites for our client's consumers, dealers, and partners and ensure business intelligence data is available to our client's personnel.

As a Systems DBA, you will work on a team to provide high quality database services that satisfy our customers’ needs. At the same time, we will use your expertise to develop innovative architectures that will help propel our client's environment into the future. You will administer and manage our client's web facing, and internal business intelligence databases. Other responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) owning, tracking, and resolving database related incidents, responding to database related alerts and escalations, working with database developers to develop strategic solutions to recurring problems, and providing 24/7 on-call rotation support to our customers.

Qualifications

Expert in handling large Oracle 11g Linux Production 24x7 multi node RAC Database
Expert in Oracle RAC, ASM Storage, Physical Standby Databases, Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle 11g Cluster ware
Guru in switchover and failover techniques
Solid skills in replication between Oracle and MySQL systems
Experience supporting MySQL and MongoDB systems
Familiarity with NoSQL database concepts
Experience automating database installs
Database monitoring and alerting experience
Performance/tuning knowledge and experience
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong understanding of data security
