Nordic Investin has been engaged by a partner company to find a Senior Generative AI Engineer. You want to build generative AI systems that are useful because retrieval, evaluation, permissions and workflow design are treated as engineering problems. You will create production applications around language models, test their behaviour and connect them safely to enterprise data and tools. Provenance, quality, access and evaluation belong in the solution from the beginning. Solutions should be designed for repeatable delivery, monitored use and responsible change after deployment. As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. What you will do

Design retrieval augmented generation and agent workflows. Build evaluation suites for quality, safety and regression testing. Integrate models with documents, APIs and business systems. Implement identity, permission and audit controls. Optimise latency, context use and operating cost. Work with domain experts to define useful human review patterns. What you will bring

Strong Python and backend engineering experience. Hands on work with language model APIs and orchestration frameworks. Knowledge of embeddings, retrieval and vector search. Experience evaluating nondeterministic systems. Ability to challenge a use case when a simpler solution is better. Experience that would add value

Fine tuning or model hosting. Information retrieval or search engineering. Enterprise knowledge management and document processing. A background that can succeed here
