Junior Integration & CI Specialist – Embedded Systems
Academic Work is now looking for a problem solver with a background in embedded systems and CI to take ownership of keeping our client's integration flow running. About the role
To keep hundreds of developers moving fast, our client's post-merge flow must stay clean and stable. Instead of writing feature code, your main responsibility is system-level troubleshooting and keeping the pipeline running. You will get direct visibility into how large-scale embedded software is integrated, tested, and delivered—rapidly building a broad architectural understanding across code, CI services, and hardware environments. Work tasks
Investigate broken flows: Trace pipeline failures across embedded code, CI/CD pipelines, test setups, and infrastructure. Troubleshoot & track issues: Determine if a failure stems from a bad commit, a CI service issue, or a test environment fault. Drive resolution: Coordinate with domain architects, integration leads, and development teams to fix issues quickly. Build framework over time: As you learn the system, you will automate recurring fixes, lower integration friction, and build tools to solve issues proactively. We are looking for
Educational background or early career experience within embedded systems development. Hands-on experience with CI/CD flows and DevOps ways of working. Analytical mindset with a strong drive to investigate root causes and solve practical problems. Our selection process is continuous and the advert may close before the recruitment process is completed if we have moved forward to the next phase.
