One of Nordic Investin’s partner companies is looking for a Design System Lead, with Nordic Investin leading the recruitment process. You want a design system to accelerate good decisions, not become a library everyone admires and nobody can adopt. You will lead the design system as a shared product, aligning design and engineering on components, accessibility, contribution and a roadmap grounded in real team needs. Design is embedded in product and service decisions rather than added after scope is fixed. This is a leadership role with responsibility for direction, governance and the capability of others. You will create enough structure for teams to move independently while stepping into detail when risk or ambiguity demands it. What you will do

Set the design system vision, principles and roadmap. Prioritise components using product demand and reuse potential. Align design tokens, interaction patterns and coded components. Establish contribution, review and release practices. Build accessibility and content standards into the system. Measure adoption, consistency and developer experience. What you will bring

Extensive product design or design system experience. Ability to collaborate deeply with frontend engineers. Experience establishing governance across several teams. Practical accessibility expertise. Experience that would add value

Design tokens and multi brand systems. Storybook or comparable component documentation. People or programme leadership. A background that can succeed here

You may be a senior product designer, UX engineer or design systems specialist who has already led cross product standardisation. What makes the opportunity interesting
